The Gunners won the last four games in all competitions and they enter this match in great spirits.

It has been some time since I have posted my soccer picks for the competition.  We have a new month and a new streak to conquer, we will be in full gear with soccer punts here at EuroPunter!!!

Today we are going to start off with a World Cup Qualifier match…Since it is the first match of the new streaking month, we are going to look to start things off on a good note.

Turkey vs. Spain

In Ali Sami Yen, Turkey faces Spain with exclusive objective the victory that will give them the right to remain “live” in the hunting of qualification and at the same time waiting for the other match of group between Bosnia and Belgium to draw.

Fatich Terim and his Turkish squad cannot calculate on defense once again,  Serbet-Jean that did not play in their defeat with 0-1 from the Spaniards in Madrid. Also Chalil Altitop of Schalke and Mpastoyrk of Stuttgart are out for the match. The Turks are expected to change somehow their plans comparatively with the match in Madrid and the reason is that they are in  search for the victory in the tonight’s game in order to not remain behind the claim of 2nd place for which they still need a draw between Bosnia and Belgium. Thus therefore it is not excluded we see their system “4-3-3” with: Nichat- Sentoyrk and Sanli upfront for the home team.

The champions of Europe continue dominating after they measure in the group five victories in equal in number matches with a goal count of 11-1. If they do not lose in Istamboul they will extend their invincible break in the 30 matches after there last loss in September 2006. Spain is not expected to make a lot of changes in tactic and starting line up  tonight.

So, as for our pick here…I am going to go against the massive majority on this one and take the Turks to win or draw at home.  I know that Spain is on a ridiculous streak not having a loss since 2006 but this is the last chance for the Turks here to qualify.  I believe that they will give this game everything they have trying to stay alive in the qualifiers.  Spain has nothing to play for but pride and wanting to remain undefeated.

I have a strong feeling that this game is going to result in a draw and that is why we are going to go with the pick:

TURKEY WIN/DRAW

It has been a few days since I have posted, mainly due to the lack of interest in the betting world.  Games have been thin now that we are in World Cup Qualifier mode.

Today’s betting slip has a few good games that are worth the punt.

Millwall v Colchester

We are going to start off with this match in the English League 1.  This is a match between recent power house Millwall and average at best Colchester.

This match is truly one sided as Millwall is the only one chasing something here.  They are currently in third place in the tables and five points behind second place with one game less.  Tonight, they have the chance to cut the difference all the way down to only two points.  The difference is huge between second and third place as second place gets directly promoted and third place will be in the promotion playoffs against the 4th-6th place teams.

Colchester lies dead in the middle of the tables and is not going anywhere.  They have no fear at this point of the regulation zone and no hopes I must add of promotion.

Lately, Millwall has been playing great ball, with 5 wins in there last 6 games.  There only loss coming from the top ranked team Leicester.  Besides the loss to Leicester they have won every other game in there last 6 matches. On the other hand, Colchester is 2-2-2 in there last 6 games and I don’t see them picking up any points tonight.

Taking into consideration that Millwall is playing for a true reason here and Colchester could care less if they win or lose, this game is definitely my strongest punt of the day.

Millwall is in great form and is burning to pick up the three points tonight to cut there difference with 2nd place Peterborough down to only two points.

Bristol Rovers v Huddersfield

I usually don’t take punts on teams that are in the middle of the tables towards the end of the season, but Bristol Rovers are two games behind the rest of the teams and have been in great form lately.  The odds here on the home win are just to good to pass up @ 2.2 so we are going to go for the home win here.

Bristol Rovers have played good ball lately and are showing passion in their games to win.  They have been 3-1-1 in there last five games as opposed to 1-2-2 Huddersfield.

Bristol have a decent home record of 8-4-6 and Huddersfield are not so bad away either with a 6-5-8 record.

We are going to go with a double chance punt here on Home Win/Draw @ 1.3 and parlay it with Millwall Home Win to increase our odds.

Kapfenberg vs. Altach

Ok, so first off lets talk about these two teams records and there recent form.

Kapfenberg has a current home record of 6-2-5.

Altach has a current away record of 1-0-11.

So, with this statistic alone, Kapfenberg should be the huge favorite here and a great punt based on the 2.1 odds that the home win is paying.

Explain to me this then, why is there almost 3x the money staked on the away win tonight?

Do the big punters know something that we don’t?  Again, if you take a look at money staked on this match, well at least in Europe where I checked…there is almost 3x the money on the away win as opposed to the home win.

Know, the only thing I can think that is logically driving the stake on the away win is the fact that Altach is fighting to stay out of the regulation zone and Kapfenberg really has no need to win this game here…Mathematically speaking, Kapfenberg can’t make it to the regulation zone or the promotion zone, so they are just pretty much playing for pride.

But Altach once again, is currently one point ahead of last place Mattersburg who currently occupies the regulation zone.  Altach has one less game in the books than Mattersburg and one more point.  So possibly this explains something here, the reason why so much has been placed on the away win that is.

The only thing I can think of is that Kapfenberg is going to throw this game to Altach and the word has been leaked and that is why there is such a large stake on the away win.  I mean, Altach will be four points away from the regulation zone and will have to really slip later on to be passed up by Mattersburg.

Ok, then why has Kapfenberg been playing such good ball lately if they are only playing for pride and beating such good teams such as Sturm Graz, Linz, and Austria Karten.  It doesn’t make sense that a team in such great form would just throw a game, unless they are going to get something in return…possibly a transfer or something?

So, this game has no logic at all as we have already stated…In terms of record and form Kapfenberg is definately the hot favorite especially against a 1-0-11 away record Altach.  So, then why all the money on Altach.

Personally, I am going to take Kapfenberg here for the home win.

Honestly, I won’t be surprised if Altach wins.

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are going to take the day off again once today. Like yesterday, there is nothing worth putting our hard earned money on so we are going to pass once again and wait to see what tomorrow holds in store.

Just a little side note, yesterday I took a few bets on the Euroleague Basketball Quarter finals that started.  I did very good and may possibly post a punt or two tomorrow on the second game.  They are the best of five series so we will have some very interesting matchups.

The coupon for tomorrow’s matchups is not up yet, but once I get it later tonight I will take an early peak and post potential early punts if any are available.

Now as far as the competition goes on espn.com and the pick, this is one of my strongest picks yet on the away win or draw…Let’s take a few minutes here and first talk about the match.

Wrexham v Kidderminster

This matchup comes from the English Blue Square Premier League, aka English Conference.  This is a matchup between current 10th place Wrexham and 7th place Kidderminster.  Wrexham has been playing pretty bad lately with a current five game form of 1-2-2.  Kidderminster on the other hand is in top form lately with a current five game form of 4-1-0 and a current 3 game winning streak.

There is a lot on the line tonight mostly for Kidderminster.  If they can pull off the away win tonight and pick up all three point they will move up in the tables to the 5th spot and be in the promotion playoff zone.  Even a draw for them tonight will not be a bad thing as it will still give them the 5th spot, they will be tied with Stevenage as far as points go but will occupy the 5th spot having a better goal ration.  Considering that they haven’t lost in there past 5 games, I see this pick to be set in stone.

Also, as I mentioned earlier about the odds for the away win falling drastically.  When you think behind the print, there is a reason for this, bookie’s fear that the away win here is going to happen so they cut there prices by just about 30% on the punt.

Since this is the second game of the season there is not much analysis here to post on the two teams.

Tromso/Rosenborg

Tromso tied there first game1-1 and Rosenborg won there first game 3-0.  We are going to go with the away win on this one.  Rosenborg is a true power house in the Norwegian league with many appearences in international competitions also.  Like I said before, there is not much analysis that we can talk about on this match but I am very confident in this punt and that is why it is my bet of the day…

I decided to take the day off yesterday and didn’t post any picks.  Personally I had a great day, unfortunately I didn’t post the punts but there is always today.

Today we are going to take two picks from the Belgium Juliper League.  Both picks have odds @ 1.65 so we are going to parlay the two games together to increase our odds.  The odds on the parlay are going to be slightly above 2.7 which is a great payout.

Gent v Zulte Waregem

Gent is currently in great form here on a three game winning streak.  They are currently is 6th place on the tables but when they win tonight at home will put them in 5th place and one point away from fourth place and a seat to the Uefa Cup.  Gent has a decent home record of 6-3-4 but there is just to much on the line tonight for them not to give this game everything they got.  It is important that they keep up with the table leaders and the race for the league is still in sight if they keep on winning the way they have been lately.

Charleroi v Standard Liege

All that we have to talk about here is the current form of Standard Liege and the 4 out of 5 win streak they have been on lately.  Tonight when they win, they will take over the league table and have a one point lead on current leader Anterlecht.  There is a lot we can say about this game and the teams, but I find it of no use at this point.  For me the away win here is the bet of the day.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs. VfL Bochum

This is a very vital game for both teams here.  Both teams are currently tied at 22 points a piece.  They are currently both in the regulation zone.  Actually, I take that back…Bochum sits 15th in the tables ahead of Borussia because they have a better goal ratio.  Anyway, the points tonight will change that, unless of course we have a draw…So, you can see why this game is so critical to both teams…

Personally, I see Borussia picking up all three points from this match.  First off, in these types of grueling matchups, the home team has the edge, there is going to be over 50,000 home fans pushing there team to victory.

The last time these two teams faced off, resulted in a draw, but I don’t see that happening tonight!!!

Borussia is in great form lately, having 3 wins-1 draw-1 lose in there last five games…It is important to note that there draw and lose are away games.  Also, there lose is coming from Herta, which leads the tables in the Bundesliga and there draw from the power house Werder Bremen…

So, overall Borussia is in great form…

As far as Bochum goes, they have 2 wins-2 draws-1 lose in there last five games.  There wins come only from home games.  Overall, Bochum is a very weak team away from home with a 0-6-5 away record.  Not much more to say about this team…

So my final verdict, as I stated before…I expect Borussia to take advantage of their home field and pick up all three points in tonights derby…

Yesterday was a crazy day, in terms of the punt we took on Galata…I already expressed my opinions on this match earlier so I won’t waste anymore of your time!!!

Today, the Bet of the Day is once again from the German Bundesliga II.  I am very familiar with this league and that is why I punt this league when opportunity arises.  Even though this is second division football, some of the teams here play much better football then division one teams.  Enough said though, let’s get into the punt.

Koblenz/Hansa Rostock

Let’s start off here talking about the home team. The defeat last week in neighbouring Kaiserslautern was hard on the team (2-1), and thus stopped the good run of four straight victories for Oybe Rapolnter’s squad. Koblenz are in 14th place having a very small difference from the regulation zone, however their recent showings only encouraging can be for the team that has entered with a new passion in the second part of the season, and as all show with the appearances lately, they should accomplish to stick around and avoid falling. Administration and trainer already planning the next season and for the two possibilities of staying or leaving and specifically the case of Korean Ntoy Ri Tsa occupies them pleasantly.  Despite the proposals from his homeland, American Meitzor Ligk wants to renew also for next season. On the contrary, Oyentraogko, Mpoma and Ntacham will seek their chance elsewhere.  I think that the heart of Koblenz here will bring them to victory in front of the home crowd seeking all three points to help them stay clear of the regulation zone.

Not much to say about Hansa, except that they are in terrible form and suffering from four of there starters not playing tonight.  I mean, they couldn’t even beat Ingolstadt last week at home when they where up 1-0 early on…this team does not deserve even a point tonight and I know they won’t get anything but a goose egg from this match.

Koblenz definitely has the upper hand in tonights matchup and will take full advantage of  the opportunity to add three easy points to there record.
